Clyde is ready for Power Up! At WPI this past weekend, Clyde ended qualification matches in 5th place. We were selected by the 3rd place Alliance TJ(Squared) and the Terror Bots! We ended the day in first place and taking home a blue banner and the Quality Award, which celebrates robustness in concept and fabrication!

At Pine Tree, Clyde ended qualification matches in 2nd place, much higher than we were expecting! We selected our friends from Team 6329 and Team 4906, We were a finalist and won the Industrial Design Award! Our lead designer, and mechanical lead Zoe is a Dean's List Semi Finalist. A great ending to one of our favorite events.

NE District Champs were a tough run, but at the end of three days of competition we ranked 13th out of 209 teams in New England and was invited to Worlds in Detroit. We want to thank the 8th Seed Alliance Captain, Team 4557 and Team 95 for working with us. And best of all Zoe was chosen a Finalist for Dean's List and is heading to Detroit!

Lexi is Team 4564’s 2017 competition robot!  Lexi had to be capable of manipulating large gears, launching wiffle balls (called “fuel”) into a tall goal that was called a “boiler” due to the steamworks theme, and climb a rope in under 30 seconds.  Lexi was an extremely agile and maneuverable robot due to her drivetrain. Her h-drive or a slide drive which allowed her to move in any direction (front, back, side to side, and strafe in any direction) without turning or engaging any extra wheels.  Lexi manipulated gears with a passive system that interacted with a human played feeding station. Lexi launched fuel with weighted flywheels and climbed the rope with a Velcro winch.
