Team Orange Chaos had another amazing district competition at Pine Tree in Lewiston this past weekend. The team competed against 40 other teams from around the New England area, finishing 2 days of qualifying matches in 4th place! During the Elimination matches, Alliance Captain, Orange Chaos was eliminated in the semi-finals. It was a hard fought battle but we came up a little short. The team was given the Creativity Award which celebrates creativity in design, use of components and unique strategy of play. The Judges' Write-up is as follows "This year's award goes to a team who re-purposed an everyday tool for a new and reeeeeely creative effect. They wreak havoc on opponent's castles, by following a golden rule of medieval siege: "Measure twice, and scale the ramparts once"." The team also received 3rd place in safety knowledge and practices- Thanks to Caleb, our Safety Captain!!! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team and mentors, Orange Chaos has earned an invitation to compete in District Championships in Hartford, CT April 14-16.
