On November 27th another group of team members were very busy at a First Lego League Northern Qualifier competition in Old Town! We are very excited to introduce Team 19821 Lego Catastrophe of Bangor, mentored by Cass and Drew, and Team 18539 L.O.C.Hness, our home school team, mentored by Kendra and her family. Early in September the team helped the home schoolers build their competition table, and Cass's team came to the shop to make buttons for their team. Lego Catastrophe came in 5th place at the qualifier! Read about it here FIRST Lego League Northern Qualifier L.O.C.Hness (stands for League of Coding Heros) didn't qualify, but Kendra said she heard one of her team members say, "Well I didn't start out dknowing what I was doing, but in the end we worked it out." Kendra said, "this surprised me, professional, real team stuff". We love that our student mentors are having a huge impact on the next generation of robot inspired kids! Good luck at the Championships!
