Having a blast in the summer, even if the post-game events got rained out,the Riot Crew definitely knows how to put on a competition, and the turn out for their very first was amazing! With a few fun rule changes, adding beach balls for throwing and inflatable sharks to go in the cans, the competition was a success for everyone. New drivers got a chance to experience the joys, and frustrations, of driving in an actual competition. We brought both Clawdia who, with her claw removed, is now simply 'Dia, and the returning favorite, Natasha, who had a temporary remodel. Having both robots there, unfortunately only one of them made it to finals, but that made no difference to how much fun we had. With the sharks, and beach balls, and volleyball turned dodge ball during the lunch break, all of the team members had a great time, and would be honored to go to another event hosted by Team 58. Keep the great work coming guys!

Before mentioning anything else about this competition, the team would like to give a huge thank you to our hosts, alliance captains, and fellow winners, team 125, The Nutrons. Without them, not only would we have been unable to win the competition, but the competition itself couldn't happen. Thank you! Now, on to other news. As was mentioned before, this competition brought us our second off season win this year, as well as the Gracious Professionalism Award. It was a long drive down, and a long drive back, but both drives were worth it. We brought a member of 5122, as well as their robot down with us, and split the team up to help him run his robot! |
