'Sasha' (our robot) is all crated up for shipment to St Louis to the World Competition.
Ben, Catey, Whitney and Jim, with some help from Dana, pack her in the crate (team 3930, Jay, loaned us). Thursday she's off on a road trip. We'll follow in a couple weeks.
We're going to the FIRST Robotics World Competition in St Louis April 25-27.
It'll be a long ride but well worth it to go to the World comp in our Rookie year.
We're sharing a bus with Messalonskee and they'll show us the ropes....they're pros at the World Competition.
Watch for the team out fundraising around town.
The Team received "All-Star Rookie" award at the Pine Tree Regional Competition!
The team was ranked 14th of 38 teams at the end of the qualifying rounds Saturday. We were picked as an alliance team for the finals and finished as the third place alliance.
Lots of nail biting and intense moments repairing and adjusting as the team went from one match right to the staging area for the next match.
What an awesome accomplishment for our first year.
Now we're off to the World Championship in St Louis.
Wish us luck!
First day of competition was interesting. Had several issues to overcome but the robot and team were running well by the afternoon. We ended the day ranked 22 out of 38 teams at the meet. We have four competitions Saturday before the final alliances are chosen by the top eight teams.
See the link on the 'links' page for the live feed of the competition.

The robot........and team are ready to go!
WISH US LUCK !
