Orange Chaos team members: there is going to be a team picture on Tuesday for the yearbook! Everybody who can attend must, unless you do not want to be in the picture. Contact Everett with any questions.
The Lewiston Competition is April 4, 5 and 6 at the Lewiston Colosseum. We're trying to let everyone know, so team members please check in by contacting Drew or Oisin!
And it's done! The robot is sealed in the bag until April 4th. It was a long 6 weeks of design, build, test and refine but we got it done! Alex R, Ian H, Steve L & Derek C
Nick C, Alex R, Steve L, Drew B, Oisin B (front) with the finished robot. Dr Dan Lee, Brewer School district superintendent and Everett Bennett, Lead Mentor team 4565 (back).
We"ll have a "Bag & Tag" party tomorrow at the high school for the end of the robot "Build Season". We can show the robot to parents and sponsors. We'll start in the gym at 5PM for a demo of the robots capabilities then probably head to the Drafting room for food, conversation and to show our tools and work space.
We can throw in some plugs to get our own room for the program.
Matt and Drew installing climbing hooks.
Team working on hooks and frisbee loading.
Alex, Oisin, Drew working with the tools.
The "Field" at Messalonskee/Wrabacon.
Wrabacon Inc lets the Messalonskee team work at their facility. All the tools and material you need to build robots..........or build anything.
Programmers! Lots of building and programming action. Messalonskee has a great facility to work at.
Oisin, Drew, Jim, Steven and Jon working on our program.
This is extreme action for the programming group. Jim is in deep contemplation over a limit switch! Steven is off camera revising the program with the help of Jon Mittleman a programming guru. They resolved numerous small issues with the program. The robot is running great now.
The team got the robot working, climbing and shooting very well, so we're off the try our hand at the mock competition down in Messalonskee. It's going to be a lot of fun!
