cRio bench test assembly. The programming team utilizes it to test and prove programming and to learn new how to program new instruments for robot construction.
The team assembled a complete pneumatic system on a board for team training and for testing pneumatics systems prior to robot construction. The team used the board along with the cRio bench assembly to conduct pneumatics training at the annual FIRST robotics training day at Messalonskee HS.
On August 2nd, 2013, the shell for the "Beach Bus" for our summer beach trip was complete. But why stop there? Orange Chaos brought our technical minds together and began work on "Autonomous Mode," where the Beach Bus could move all on its own with nothing but a ultrasonic scanner and a couple strings of code. Not too complex... right? In all seriousness, the Beach Bot is coming along incredibly well. 2013's Brewer Days got a sneak-preview of the Beach Bot's new moves. Let's hope we can show it off more in the (preferably near)future.
The team is building a storage and transportation cart to hold the teams batteries and chargers. It will organize the teams batteries and charger at competitions.
Today we had our first ever Fall Craft Fair fundraiser, we didn't know how it would all work out, but it ended up a great experience for us and the crafters and vendors that signed up. Thank you for helping us out. The team helped with set up the night before, and helped the vendors and crafters bring in their wares and displays. Special thanks to Mentor Tracy Hogan for helping coordinate the vendors and crafters and to Candy Sihaya for arranging the concession stand. Also a big thank you to the families and team members for the baked goods and crafts for our booth!
Hope to see everyone next year!
